Greenhouse Production of West Virginia '63 Tomato Seed
Summary
The heirloom tomato variety West Virginia ’63 may be particularly valuable to tomato growers because it is resistant to late blight, verticillium wilt, and fusarium wilt. This project will compare the effect of greenhouse production methods on the seed count and seed viability of this variety and determine the most economically efficient production method. Outreach will be through publications, posters, and the seed industry.
