    Proposal summary:

The new organic standards effectively require an autumn application of non-certified composts. This grant proposes to look at the interaction between autumn applications of compost and cover cropping from the perspective of maximizing the long-term productivity of a limited-space commercial vegetable operation. Outreach will be through publications, farm visits, a field workshop, and a farm apprenticeship program.
