    Proposal summary:

    In concert with collaborating potato farmers, quantify the factors influencing the production of tubers that will make potato chips of specified color and composition. The factors are known, but they are influenced in as yet undetermined ways by residual and applied plant nutrients, soil types, potato varieties, the climatic conditions prevailing during the growing season and storage conditions.
