Proposal summary:
I want to establish a low-growing, low maintenance turf between vineyard rows and I wish to enable other growers to do the same. The purpose of this project is to reduce chemical use, soil erosion, compaction and cost while improving organic matter level, water holding capacity and fruit yield. Additionally, it will enhance habitat for birds, small game and for soil and soil-borne organisms.
