    Proposal summary:

The Problem: To insure long-term sustainability, a farmer must not only be able to produce quality agricultural products, but he or she also must be able to efficiently market those products so that they generate an income capable of keeping the operation viable. The Proposed Solution: While matching funds from this grant, we hope to create a stronger, more viable Westmoreland County market for locally grown agricultural products-one which will keep products in the county, help smaller operations remain a viable source of food and fiber and offer a fresher alternative to area consumers.
