    Proposal summary:

I propose to introduce people interested in becoming dairy farmers to the techniques and skills required to integrate horses into a farming operation. I will hold three week-long workshops a year in which a small number of referred individuals will receive intensive instruction in the use of draft horses as a means of planting, cultivating and harvesting enough crops to sustain a dairy operation under the most difficult economic conditions.
