Trials and Informing Regional Farmers about Organic Weed Control Methods
Summary
The groundwork for the trials has been laid. The project couldn’t begin until this year due to it being a cover crop trials and reporting. The cover crops were planted during September 2011 for the trials and reporting to be done 2012.
Along with the testing areas being prepared by growing cover crops, materials and supplies have been purchased.
As stated in the grant proposal the trials will begin May 2012, testing and sharing of information through the summer of 2012, with a expected project completion by September 2012.
Included in this annual report are two pictures representative of cover crop germination in fall 2011 and cover crop now in winter of 2012.
