2009 Annual Report for LNC05-262
Revise/reprint "Biological Control of Insects and Mites"
Summary
In the final two months of the project, we continued to ship out copies of the book for use in workshops.
Objectives/Performance Targets
It was our intention that workshop coordinators would assist us in collecting information on the book’s usefulness to farmers. Workshop coordinators were each given copies of tools they could use with participants.
Accomplishments/Milestones
By the end of the project, we were unsuccessful in obtaining any sort of assessment as to the book’s usefulness.
Impacts and Contributions/Outcomes
The outcome is that, while the workshops helped us get information out to farmers on biological control, they were not organized in such a way that we could get information back from farmers on the usefulness of the text. Without considerably more money to support the project team in directly participating in the workshops, we were unable to leverage this activity in a way to conduct a real assessment.
