Proposal abstract:

Star Farm will create a curriculum/program toolkit incorporating sustainable agricultural practices. This toolkit will be accessible for both English and Spanish speaking community members across various age groups and abilities, and available at four of our existing youth programs. In this booklet/toolkit, we will outline a wide range of sustainable agricultural practices including rain catchment tips, mulching, interplanting, composting, irrigation methods, building microhabitats and more. platform for seasonal hands-on and educational activities on the farm across various age groups and abilities.

Project objectives from proposal:

1. Introduce sustainable agricultural practices such as rain catchment, mulching, interplanting, composting, irrigation methods, building microhabitats, pollinator friendly landscapes, and more.

2. Empower young people to incorporate these sustainable practices wherever they may have space and capacity.

3. Introduce and inspire young people to pursue sustainable agricultural careers, from Farm Management to Programming and Outreach.
