Proposal abstract:

This program deploys an interdisciplinary approach to exposing youth to ecology, agriculture, and entrepreneurship, with a vision of futurity that incorporates entry points into agricultural careers engaging with innovative learning experiences. Deploying practices that encourages a more responsible approach to agriculture that aims to incorporate ecological and economic cooperation to design and manage successful food systems and workforce pathways. The program will locate agriculture as a pathway for the participants to career possibilities.

Project objectives from proposal:

The objectives of this second cohort of this program are to:

  1. To introduce 10 youth ages 14-17 to a curriculum that highlights the merits of agriculture while using positive measures that include learning farming history, entrepreneurship, and new scientific knowledge.
  2. Introducing participants to agricultural experiential learning through field trips to many farms to experience farming firsthand.
  3. Convert the project's activities into the form of a camp, shortening the time, but with the provision of a robust program network cultivation
