Description:
This technical document outlines a multiple linear regression model to estimate albedo in agricultural landscapes from readily-accessible field data and digital imagery. By developing this model, albedo estimates, which are critical to winter energy balances and quantifying the drivers of runoff processes, are feasible for plot-scale studies in agricultural settings. Previously, the cost of instrumentation to directly measure albedo has been cost-prohibitive for much research.
