The NM WSARE PDP coordinated an on-line webinar series in 2020. These trainings were designed to take the place of the planned in-person field day and NM Sustainable Agriculture Conference due to the ongoing pandemic. Training topics were determined during on-line meetings of the NM WSARE Advisory Committee and included: October 1: “Seed Saving and On-farm Breeding”—Dr. Brad Tonnessen October 8: “Strategies to Prevent Development and Spread of Herbicide-Resistant Weeds”—Dr. Brian Schutte & Dr. Leslie Beck October 15: "Beneficial Insect Identification and Habitat Management”—Dr. Amanda Skidmore & Dr. Miranda Kersten October 22: “Growing Vegetables in NM – Managing Challenges for an Abundant Harvest”—Dr. Stephanie Walker October 29: “Pruning Fruit Trees for Sustainable Production: Why, When, and How”—Dr. Marisa Thompson November 5: “Drip Irrigation on the Small Farm”—Dr. Brad Tonnessen
