About
Dr. C. Scott Clem is a multidisciplinary research entomologist and agroecologist with an expertise in insect biodiversity, biological control, and integrated pest and pollinator management. He holds three degrees in entomology including a bachelor’s and master’s from Auburn University, and a PhD from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He is currently the PI of the Clem Insect Ecology and Biodiversity Lab at Illinois State University. His past work includes research examining local and landscape factors that influence insects occurring in crop systems. He has so far published 20 refereed scientific manuscripts, earned and managed nearly $350,000 in research funding (including two prestigious USDA NIFA fellowships), conducted over 50 research/extension presentations, and he holds a rich history of conducting science outreach with local communities.
