About
Obtained B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in forage agronomy from Penn State University, Virginia Tech, and the University of Georgia, respectively, and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in animal science from Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand. Projects were related to small ruminants (sheep) and condensed tannin-containing forages. Worked in animal science at Fort Valley State University, Fort Valley, GA for the last 29 years with research emphasis on tannin-containing bioactive forages for small ruminants (sheep and goats), particularly the tannin-rich anti-parasitic legume sericea lespedeza (Lespedeza cuneata). For the last 19 years, have coordinated research and outreach activities of the American Consortium for Small Ruminant Parasite Control.
