Growing a Network of GAPs Educators in the Upper Midwest

Summary

Year 1 of this project started October 2013. Conversations with stakeholder groups suggested on-farm food safety trainings for educators should be held late spring and early summer and late autumn. We scheduled our project to start in late 2013 so that we would have enough time to compile existing materials and develop new materials related to food safety education by late spring of 2014.

Objectives/Performance Targets

Our goals for this time period (October - December 2013) were to recruit advisory board members and develop grant and administrative roles and procedures needed for the project.

Accomplishments/Milestones

Advisory board members were invited and all accepted. Advisory team is from Minnesota and North Dakota and includes Extension educators, NDSU faculty, non-profit agency educators, farmers, and multimedia instructional design experts.

Impacts and Contributions/Outcomes

None to report at this early stage in our project.
