    Proposal summary:

Climate, soil, and market characteristics have come together to create a possible niche for organic poultry feed that can be grown in rotation with other organic grains. The farmer will research the dietary requirements of poultry, obtain grain samples for analysis, and develop a spreadsheet to compute the various nutritional values. She will find the best rations for different types of poultry, locate appropriate supplements, and determine which mixes are the most acceptable. The results will be published in a pamphlet for farmers interested in grains or poultry.
