Farrow to Finish Premium Pastured Pork
Summary
This two-year project will assess the viability of adding value to pork by offering pastured, additive-free, locally-raised pork at a premium price. The farmer will initiate direct sales and custom processing and will track customer acceptance, costs, pasture and equipment maintenance, and labor. Outreach will be through open houses, extension, conferences, and grower organizations.
