Squash Bug Management Through Introduction of Game Birds

Summary

The proposal is to create pens for game birds in a summer and winter squash growing area to control squash bugs. Other program benefits are increased soil fertility, weed management, and a new cash crop. Although the project is tested on a small-scale crop, other farmers, large or small, should benefit from this research.
